National KIDS COUNT Data Book
The Annie E. Casey Foundation has released the 24th KIDS COUNT Data Book. The Data Book provides policymakers and citizens with benchmarks of child well-being that in turn can enrich local, state and national discussions concerning ways to secure better futures for all children.
The Data Book presents the latest trends in four categories: 1) Economic Well-Being, 2) Education, 3) Health and Family, and 4) Community. The categories capture the latest trends, starting pre-recession and ending with the most recent year of available data, either 2010 or 2011.
